Albinen - Guttet - Feschel

Icon Tour
The sunny winter hiking trail connects the two rustic mountain villages of Albinen and Guttet-Feschel. The view of the Rhone Valley, the Turtmann Valley and the Valais Alps is impressive.

In addition to the pretty villages with their tanned barns and the phenomenal view of the Rhone Valley, this winter hike also reveals nature from its wonderful side. The hike from Albinen to Guttet-Feschel leads through a "ghost forest" above Leuk, which burnt down almost completely in 2003. In a natural and gentle way, it is recovering and gradually finding new life. An extremely impressive winter experience. From Guttet you return to Albinen along the same route.

If you want to shorten the route and hike back to Albinen, turn right after about 2 km in the Höhwald forest (Pt 1488 - see map). Down through the "Thelwald" forest you finally reach the main road and so back to Albinen.
