Frequently Asked Questions

How does the dynamic pricing model work?

A dynamic pricing model recalculates the ticket price continuously on the basis of various factors. These include the season phase (high or low season), the day of the week, the booking date, the current status of bookings in the webshop and, from a certain point, the weather forecast. The same prices apply for ski tickets and Winter Cards both on site and in the webshop.

For which ticket categories do dynamic prices apply?

The dynamic prices apply to all Ski and Winter Card tickets. Excluded are single and day tickets for pedestrians, ski touring tickets, season passes, group tickets, ski passes with special discounts for schools and camps.

What are the advantages of the dynamic pricing model?

  • Attractive pricing: early booking ensures cheaper tickets, as prices will no longer fall. Savings also come from skiing outside peak travel times or on days with lower demand.
  • Flexibility: Ticket prices adjust to current demand. Strategic planning of ski days can save you money.
  • Improved guest experience: Variable pricing allows us to manage visitor flows more effectively, ensuring a more enjoyable skiing experience for all.

Why should I as a customer book online in advance?

Booking online pays off, especially when booking early, as prices tend to rise the closer the ski day gets. Early bookers ski cheaper than those who decide at short notice or buy at the ticket office. There are no last-minute discounts. Loading your ticket online onto a SKIDATA Keycard or SwissPass eliminates the need to queue at the ticket office, and your ski day can begin immediately.

How can I book my ticket online?

Tickets are easily available at www.leukerbad.ch/shop. Ideally, the ticket is loaded onto an existing SKIDATA Keycard or SwissPass. If neither a Keycard nor a SwissPass is available, the ticket can simply be printed out at home using the "Print@Home" function and exchanged for a SKIDATA Keycard at the ticket office. With the "Print@Home" option, a deposit fee of CHF 5.- is already charged for the SKIDATA Keycard when purchasing online, which can be refunded when the card is returned (at the cash desks in Leukerbad or Flaschen). However, it is recommended that you keep the SKIDATA Keycard so that you can load future purchases directly and conveniently onto it.

How can I find out about the daily updated prices?

The best way to find out about the current daily prices is to visit www.leukerbad.ch/shop. The price at the ticket office at the time always corresponds to the prices displayed online.

Can I still buy ski passes at the ticket office?

Yes, all tickets and ski passes can still be purchased at the ticket office.

Can I insure my ski ticket?

You have the possibility to insure your ski ticket for a small surcharge:

  • Surcharge of CHF 3 / day: PassProtect
  • Surcharge of CHF 5 / day: SkiCare

4 Tips for Budget-Conscious Guests

1. Book Early

The earlier you book, the cheaper your ticket will be. The price will not go down any further.

2. Prefer Weekdays

Prices are usually cheaper during the week than at weekends or during holiday periods.

3. Ski in the Low Season

Skiing outside the peak season means saving money, benefiting from fewer visitors to the resort and shorter waiting times. More piste for less money!

4. Compare Days

It can be worthwhile to compare additional days on multi-day tickets or fixed group rates with the current daily prices anyway. If you compare, you save!
