Winter
Experience the calm and tranquility of Erschmatt, a Valais village that has a special significance for the Swiss, with its snow-covered alleys and gables and breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding mountain scenery. Ice-skate on fields like in the olden days, explore winter hiking trails, go snowshoe walking or just sit in your cozy chalet and relax. Erschmatt is also located close to the ski and spa resorts of Jeizinen (5 km) and Leukerbad (20 km).

Rye bread - a part of the ancient Valais cultural heritage. The Erlebniswelt Roggen shows you the way of rye from corn to bread. In the variety garden you can see the great range of Valais grain varieties. On our baking days you can make your own rye bread. There are special tailor-made arrangements for groups.
