In summer Albinen is an ideal base for hiking in and around the famous Torrent area. In the colder months, it’s a popular resort for winter-sport fans due to its sunny location and variety of slopes for all skill levels on the Torrenthorn. Located 6 km from Leukerbad, Albinen is just a stone’s throw from the famous spa town. Albinen has several excellent restaurants and around 1,000 beds in hotels, holiday apartments and group accommodation. Albinen – do something good for your body, mind and soul.

Tips

Guided village tours: every Friday at 15:15 during the high season. Meeting point is the village bus stop.

Aperitif: every Monday from 17:00 on the village square during the high season

Torrent ski resort with around 50 km of slopes between 1,540 and 2,610 meters

Winter hiking trails: panoramic walks from the Rinderhütte to the Torrentalp and from Albinen to Guttet-Feschel

In summer, Albinen is a great starting point for lots of picturesque hikes.

The Albinen ladders (only open in summer and not recommended for vertigo sufferers) are eight ladders covering a difference in altitude of 100 meters – a precursor to the modern via ferrata. Up until 1978 they were the shortest and quickest way to Leukerbad. Today they are part of a spectacular hiking route between the spa resort and Albinen.
